Operations Management Trainee Programme

Since 2012, we have developed our own in-house trainee programme with a strong focus to groom future managers and leaders to match our business needs. This programme offers the trainee the opportunity to go through all key functions of the business including Customer Experience, Integrated Service Centre & Line Service, as well as other supporting functions. The objective is to provide our trainees with solid, fulfilling and in-depth training such as technical skill, people skill and project management experiences. Apart from on-the-job training, we have also designed a mentorship scheme for trainees to ensure professional and proper guidance will be given throughout their career development process. Upon completion of the trainee programme, a typical path of our trainees will be a promotion to a supervisory level position to take up basic management responsibilities.

Internship Programme

The HKBAC Internship Programme offers a comprehensive and thoughtful curriculum that provides interns with hands-on work experience across an expansive range of projects. It is a challenging, yet supportive and rewarding experience that includes the opportunity to work on projects that cover a diverse range of topics, issues, and scenarios.

Job Titles:

Job Duties:
  • Assist Manager to manage and monitor the overall operation of Integrated Service Centre

  • Responsible for handling customer service process, monitoring all services provided by the team are handled professionally and complied with handling guidelines and regulatory requirements

  • Ensure customer’s comments to be handled promptly, courteously and appropriately

  • Establish and maintain good working relationship with airport entities, MROs, service providers, operators and customers

  • Perform safe and professional driving duties for guests and crew members. Shuttle personnel to designated locations at airside/landside to support daily operations (*it is applicable to staff possessing driving license only)

  • Provide coaching and counseling to staff to ensure their performances meet the company’s expectations

  • Prepare monthly roster to ensure adequate manpower resources for daily operation

  • Assist to review and update department’s training material, internal handling procedure and provide relevant training and coaching to team members

  • Assist to prepare monthly reports, manage departmental KPI and performance appraisals for team members

  • Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by Superior

Requirements:
  • Degree holder with at least 5 years’ relevant experience or Diploma holder with at least 6 years’ of customer service / guest relations experience with minimum 3 years’ in supervisory level
  • Excellent interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills

  • Mature, proactive, and positive attitude with high level of teamwork spirit

  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English / Chinese

  • Holder of valid HK Driving License No. 1, 2 with clean driving record is a plus

  • Candidate with airline lounge or hotel experience is highly preferrable

Job Duties:
  • Act as the on‑duty senior authority for all Line Service and apron operations during assigned shifts

  • Maintain continuous physical presence on the apron to monitor aircraft movements, ramp activities and high‑risk ground handling operations

  • Provide independent operational oversight, separate from frontline task execution, ensuring SOP, SMS and regulatory compliance

  • Oversee and intervene in high‑risk activities including aircraft marshalling, towing/pushback, refuelling coordination, GSE operations and emergency response

  • Serve as the primary escalation and decision‑making point for operational disruptions, safety concerns and incident response

  • Lead on‑shift safety management, including hazard identification, immediate corrective actions and safety briefings

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable requirements of AAHK, CAD and internal HKBAC standards

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (ISC, CEx, SSS) and external parties as required to maintain safe and efficient operations

  • Conduct on‑shift operational audits and follow up on safety observations, non‑compliances and corrective actions

  • Support manpower deployment and shift coordination, without direct embedding in routine frontline task execution

  • Participate in incident investigations, safety reporting and post‑incident reviews as required

  • Perform other operational duties as assigned by senior management

Requirements:
  • Diploma or above preferably in Aviation, Aircraft Engineering, Operations or related discipline

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in airside / ramp operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or duty‑in‑charge capacity

  • Strong hands‑on knowledge of aircraft ground handling and apron safety management

  • Sound understanding of SMS, risk assessment and incident management in an airside environment

  • Holder of valid Hong Kong Driving Licence Classes 1, 2 and 19

  • Proven ability to make independent operational decisions under pressure

  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence without direct task ownership

  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese

  • Shift duty / roster work is required

Job Duties:
  • Firewall & Network Management: Manage and troubleshoot firewall policies (both edge & east-west), switch configurations, and Wi-Fi systems to ensure network security and availability.
  • Virtualization & Backup: Administer the virtual environment (e.g., HCI/VM farm). Execute, monitor, and verify daily backup and recovery procedures using solutions like Veeam to ensure data integrity and business continuity.

  • IT Security Operations: Deploy security updates and perform monthly vulnerability patching. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls according to established security policies. Monitor alerts from firewall, EDR, and performance logs, and escalate incidents for timely resolution.

  • Microsoft 365 & Azure Administration: Administration of Microsoft 365 and Azure portal including user account management, IT security setting, etc.

  • Server Room & Procurement: Assist in overseeing server room readiness and cabling. Liaise with vendors to obtain quotations and follow up on licensing renewal.

  • Infrastructure & System Support: Provide professional and timely Level 2/3 end-user support and troubleshooting for infrastructure and system-related issues. Be available for on call for emergency support, assigned shift duty for critical patching, or deployments during non-office hours.

  • Project Support: Participate in and provide technical study/support for IT projects, executing assigned tasks for infrastructure upgrades and the implementation of new technologies.

  • Documentation: Maintain and update comprehensive documentation for network diagrams, system configurations, admin guides, and operational procedures.

  • Stay Current with New Technology: Actively pursue continuous learning on relevant new technologies. E.g., AI for automation, system scripting, etc.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

  • 5 years or above with hands-on experience in similar role. Candidates with substantial experience will be considered for Senior Position.

  • Network & Security: Familiarity with network device configuration (Firewalls & Cisco switches) is essential. Experience with FortiGate and PA firewall is advantageous. Awareness of IT security principles and privacy data protection are important.

  • Systems & Infrastructure: Experience in managing Microsoft environments (Active Directory, GPO, Azure AD) is essential.

  • Virtualization & Cloud: Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, HCI) and backup solutions (e.g., Veeam) is required. Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune and their security administration is a plus.

  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese.

  • Must be willing to work during non-office hours as per incident, maintenance and project requirements.
